Is it our imagination or are the nights drawing in earlier this year than last? Or is it, after an incredibly gorgeous summer, we’re just not ready for them? Probably the latter!
With the new season stock busting the rails with rich autumnal colours of mustard, burgundy, camel and sage, we’ve decided to promote the transitional colours of pale pink, mauve, silver and grey and have Wendy busily creating our first autumn/winter window display. We’re desperately trying to stay away from using black just yet…let’s keep that for the deepest, darkest depths of winter! Brrr…
Funnily enough, pale pinks and blush are still the popular choice for special occasion wear and boy, do we have some beautiful outfits this season; Veromia, Irresistible and Veni Infantino have perfectly captured the essence of femininity with 1950’s inspired silhouettes and necklines…think Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day and Marilyn Monroe, whilst Luis Civit and Condici have stayed true to flattering chic styles.
It’s going to be a busy season as we have three charity fashion shows already booked in, two of which are in the shop. If you fancy joining us at the first one on Wednesday 17th October, you are more than welcome. It is in aid of the Daisy Appeal and tickets, costing £15, include fizz and nibbles. It’s a great, informal way to view the latest styles as it’s us girls who do the modelling.
